Publicus SKILLS provides training for policymakers and practitioners in economic and enterprise and job creation. This is customised training for public, private and community organisations and individuals. It includes formal workshops and training programs for groups ranging from five to 50 people. It also includes online training as well as mentor support and coaching.

Publicus SKILLS is pleased to offer two online training courses in 2020 on different aspects of business environment reform. These interactive courses are delivered using an online syllabus that combines recorded video presentations, online chats, forums and webinars, interactive exercises, practical case studies and examples drawn from developed and developing economies, as well as extensive reading materials and practical tools.

Business Environment Reform

Learn about the role of business environment reform can play in supporting business growth, innovation and job creation. Know where to go for data when assessing business environments and develop techniques that can be used to design and manage reforms. Apply tools for setting reform priorities and learn about the urgent reform challenges and opportunities created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This course is directed at anyone with an interest in economic development, business growth, innovation and job creation. As an entry level course, the material presented will be of interest to a wide range of policymakers and development practitioners. This includes people who are government officials working at national, state or local levels, staff members of business representative organisations, such as a chamber of commerce or employers organisation, staff of a development program or institution, or involved in a civil society organisation, such as town team, placemaking association, business incubation or innovation centre.
